Support your community
GoZero provides a platform to strengthen community efforts to build resilience and connection. We help to generate donations from community members and local businesses to support coordination, events and deliberative processes aimed at creating a better future for our communities. This is achieved through GoZero Teams. Sign up today!
What is a GoZero Team?
A GoZero Team is a small group of at least four neighbours, colleagues or friends, who connect regularly to share what they're trying, hold each other accountable to the changes they've chosen to make, and act together on the things that matter to their community.
Teams primarily meet online, with occasional in-person gatherings when there's something worth getting together for. They consist of people close to you, with a shared commitment to reduce costs and build resilience, and a professional community weaver who supports your group and connects you to the wider GoZero network. There are no fixed programmes or performance targets.
The entry point is practical and addresses household costs, local resilience and community connection. As teams develop, they can choose how far they want to take their collective action: from household sufficiency and cost reduction, to community wealth building and local resilience, to deliberative advocacy for the systems change that makes sufficiency easier for everyone. GoZero is here to support teams at every stage of that journey.
Two kinds of team
Place-based teams bring together people who share a geography, for example a street, a suburb, a neighbourhood. If you want to connect with the people around you and build resilience close to home, sign up and we'll identify teams for you to join near you.
Group-based teams bring together people who already share a bond, such as a workplace, a school community, a faith group, a sports club or a circle of friends. If you have a ready-made group of people you trust to hold you accountable, sign up and we'll provide you with a link to sent to the others in your group.
Both types access the same platform, the same community benefit mechanisms and the same weaver support.
Not sure which fits? Tell us a little about your situation and we'll help you figure it out.
What happens after you sign up?
Someone from GoZero gets in touch with a short personal welcome, to answer any questions and take the next step together.
You receive your group invite to your team's online home, where you'll connect, share and make decisions together.
Your team holds its first session, with GoZero providing a simple guide to get you started.
For place-based teams: if we don't have a weaver covering your area yet, we'll add you to our waiting list and keep you posted. Your interest directly informs where we deploy next.
